The best way to mount high toms to your kit, short of drilling into your bass drum, is the DW SM-992. This double-tom support clamps to a standard cymbal stand and lets you position rack toms over your virgin bass drum or add expansion toms to the side of your snare. A pair of ball-and-socket “L” arms provides an infinite amount of positioning options, and the DW SM-992’s heavy-duty locking mechanisms keep your toms from slipping.
